  1. seahorse-plugins: plugins and utilities for encryption in GNOME
  2. This describes version 2.26.1

  4. Seahorse is a graphical interface for managing and using encryption keys. 
  5. Currently it supports PGP keys (using GPG/GPGME) and SSH keys. Its goal is to 
  6. provide an easy to use Key Management Tool, along with an easy to use interface 
  7. for encryption operations.
  8.  
  9. Seahorse is integrated into the GNOME Desktop Environment and allows users to 
  10. perform operations from their regular applications, like nautilus or gedit.

  13. help manual or the homepage.

  16. mailing list, posting a message to the forums on sourceforge, or submitting

  31. Required Dependencies
  32. =====================

  34.    Make sure you have the following installed before you try and install 
  35. Seahorse. You may need to install 'devel' or 'dev' versions of these packages
  36. if your distro requires this.

  39.  - DBUS 0.35 (or later)
  40.  - GPGME 1.x 
  41.  - GnuPG 1.2.x or 1.4.x

  45.  - gnome-keyring 2.19.4 (or later)

  50.    These are not required for a basic install of Seahorse, but additional 
  51. features will be enabled if these are present on your system. Again you may need
